The Quai des Plantes

The place was not chosen at random since it is about the quay on which the navigators unloaded seeds and plants imported from the colonies since the 17th century.
For the occasion, 1000 trees of 80 different species were installed between the Anne de Bretagne bridge and Maillé-Brézé with the aim of recreating a real ephemeral nursery.
The deputy mayor of Nantes, Thomas Quéro, already appreciates the results of this plant operation: "Many walkers have already adopted these little green areas to land and enjoy the view of the Loire and the island of Nantes".
This transformation of the quay should take place in time since the town hall of Nantes would like to make a long lively walk punctuated with maritime gardens and artistic and cultural kiosks.
