The Machines on the Ile de Nantes
A diversion to the Ile de Nantes for a unique family experience
A fantastic world
Immerse yourself and your family in a parallel universe worthy of the most beautiful fairy tales. This daring project is the brainchild of artists who love to fuse engineering and art. They have created giant mechanical machines inspired by the world of the famous French writer Jules Verne.
Spend a few hours walking alongside fantastic creatures such as the giant steel and wooden elephant, which can carry passengers across the site. The Heron Tree, an incredible tree-like machine, allows you to rise several metres above the ground for a panoramic view of Nantes.
There are 4 worlds to discover:
- The gallery of machines (duration of visit: approximately 1 hour) ;
- The big elephant (30 minutes);
- The carousel of marine worlds (approx. 45 minutes);
- The workshop terraces (ten-minute film, photo exhibition + prototype of the Heron Tree project).
