The Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul cathedral is a must-see historical monument of the City of Nantes. It is renowned for its impressive volume and for its purity and harmony of its Gothic style on the 3 floors. Its vaults rise to almost 40 meters high! Those of Notre-Dame-de-Paris rise up to 37.50m.
This cathedral houses the tombs of Anne de Bretagne's parents: François II, last Duke of Brittany, and Marguerite Foix, his second wife. Commissioned by Anne of Brittany and carved in Carrara marble at the beginning of the 16th century, this tomb is incredibly complex and refined. This jewel alone justifies a visit to the cathedral!

The cathedral is open from Monday to Saturday from 8:30 to 18:00 and you can visit the crypts in July and August from 10:00 to 19:00 and during the Heritage Days.
